When Daddy Works...

What do we do all day when dad locks himself away in his office?

Josh just discovered that forts are fun! 

(they made him nervous a few months ago)

We stuff ourselves in Josh's bed, which makes Jack feel so big

This must be some secret ritual between the boys that I don't understand... 'cause I'm

 just the mom!

Josh is teaching Jack all about sound effects.

So now you know what we fill our time with. What do your days look like?

Will Work for Food

Jack starts to perform as soon as he gets strapped in to his chair...

(this goes on the entire time he eats, while I try to sneak the food in when he stops for air)

Last Full Day

We spent the whole day at the beach: swimming, frisbee-ing, skim-boarding, hiding from the sun under the umbrella. This was our way to say, "Thanks, Maui, for having some awesome beaches!" 

(yes, the island has made me cheesy... or maybe it's all the UV rays)

More from Maui...

We have had some cloudy weather, and while we were out snorkeling today it actually rained a ton. Rain seems so much nicer on an island for some reason...

Dan overcame his fears of seeing ocean life under the surface, and we all loved swimming with the fish and sea turtles. It was all amazing. 

As we headed back to the marina, we were met by the last humpback whales of the season as they catch up with the rest of the migrating pod. (tomorrow is the last day of whale season here) There was a mom, her baby, and either 1 or 2 males. Before we had to get back, there was some pretty violent behavior between the female and one of the males that we witnessed. It was totally unexpected and basically a free whale-watching trip. 

I am working on getting the videos to loaded, but they are being stubborn.
