This week Josh is being screened for his speech, since I think it's delayed enough to qualify for some therapy. (free through your local school district) In the past few months, he really has made some amazing progress, but he still struggles with leaving consonants out of words, switching letter-sounds, and some other issues.
Here are some of the phrases he says now that we LOVE that probably won't be around once his speech is "fixed."
"I luf that." (for anything he loves and wants)
"One moy, please." (one more please)
"I haf to nee-nee." (I have to pee pee)
"I luf orns." ( I love orange) - his favorite color ever
"Dust keep tying." (Just keep trying)
"Not want to." (I don't want to)
"Woosy" (Lucy)
Winzy (Lindsey/Lynsie)
Wevi (Levi)
Nanas Dotes (Thomas Goates)

Very very cute! I can hear his little voice saying each one of those. I'm glad you posted them. Speaking of "nanas dotes", now we need to teach him "Argentina"...
So cute! I love the different ways kids pronounce things. It's adorable.
Amanda and I love those Josh-isms! But it's always hard for "Aunt La-la" because as adorable as she thinks it is, the speech pathologist side of her is saying he probably needs some help. But I can't picture the kid calling me anything other than Uncle "Neh". At this point it'd be too wierd to hear him say my name right!
I love it! My little Carley's in speech therapy, too. I'm glad to have the help, but it is sad to hear some of the cute ways they say things get fixed. :)
Ben, you are now nu-nu Den. (uncle Ben) All of his b's are d's. I can't remember how aunt Amanda sounds right now. But it is better than before.
"Jamie" is still Ni-Ni, unless he talks too fast and combines "Jamie and Ryan" to "Ni-Ry Ry."
Aw, they are all so cute! Gabe has always called bullets "boilets" (as in boiling water). Nick and I think that it is cute and really don't want him to talk about bullets anyway, so we've never corrected him. Ian in turn has learned it too and Simon will too I'm sure. It will be a sad day on many levels when he learns the truth.
I'm glad you wrote these down!
THanks for the blog comment - good to see you guys are alive and well!
Good luck with #3 - boy or girl?
Our little Wyatt will be 4 months old on Sept 12 and he is just sqishy and wonderful.
I love the "just keep trying".
